Sahitya Akademi Recruitment 2023 : The Sahitya Akademi has recently announced a recruitment notification for multiple positions such as Deputy Secretary (General), Senior Accountant, Publication Assistant, Programme Assistant, Stenographer, and Multi Tasking Staff for the year 2023.

About Sahitya Akademi – Sahitya Akademi is the Indias National Academy of Letters, Sahitya Akademi is an organization to promote literature in the language of India. Detailed Eligibility

 

Education Qualifications:

1) Dy. Secretary (General):

  • Essential: 
    • A Post-Graduate Degree OR equivalent.
    • Five years of relevant experience in the field of production/publication and promotion of books
    • Basic knowledge of computer applications.
  • Desirable: 
    • A Research/Doctoral degree in literature.
    • Knowledge of Book Production and Publication.
    • Experience in editing publications.

2) Senior Accountant:

  • Essential:
    • Graduation in Commerce.
    • 5 years experience in accounting.
    • Knowledge of Govt. rules and regulations
    • Ability to prepare various forms of accounts.
    • Basic knowledge of computer application
  • Desirable: Ability to draft well in English

3) Publication Assistant:

  • Essential: 
    • Graduation OR equivalent qualification.
    • Diploma in Printing OR five years experience in a printing press, publishing house, or government undertaking concerned with book publishing
    • knowledge of various printing and book publication processes
    • Good knowledge of one or more languages and literature with the ability to handle literary material.
    • Basic knowledge of Computer applications.

4) Programme Assistant:

  • Essential:
    • Graduation OR equivalent
    • Five years experience in a literary,
    • Ability to organise meetings, conferences etc.
    • Good knowledge of one or more languages and literature with the ability to handle literary material.
    • Basic knowledge of Computer applications.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of processing literary manuscripts and book production

5) Stenographer Grade II:

  • Essential:
    • 10+2 OR equivalent.
    • 80 w.p.m. speed in shorthand and good speed in typing in English/Hindi.
    • Good knowledge of computer applications.
    • 1 Year experience as Stenographer.

6) Multi-Tasking Staff:

  • Essential:
    • 10th pass OR ITI equivalent
    • Multi-skilling with one employee performing jobs hitherto performed by different Group D employees.
  • Desirable:
    • Knowledge of cycling and various localities.
    • knowledge of basic Computer Applications.

Age Limit(As On 12 June 2023)

  • Dy. Secretary (General): 50 years.
  • Senior Accountant:  40 years.
  • Publication Assistant/ Programme Assistant: 35 years.
  • Stenographer Grade-II/ Multi-Tasking Staff: 30 years.

Age Relaxation: Age relaxation will be as per Government of India rules.

Salary

  • Dy. Secretary (General): Rs.67,700-2,08,700/- per month.
  • Senior Accountant/Publication Assistant/ Programme Assistant: Rs.35,400- 1,12,400 per month.
  • Stenographer Grade-II: Rs.25,500- 81,100 /- per month.
  • Multi-Tasking Staff: Rs.18000- 56900 per month.

Selection Process:

  • Dy. Secretary (General): The selection process will be an application screening, Written test/interview.
  • Senior Accountant:
    • The selection process will be an application screening/written test.
    • Part-I will be objective type consisting of 50 marks (30 questions from GS/GK, 5 each from Hindi, English, Computer & Quantitative Aptitude).
    • Part II will be a descriptive exam consisting of Accountancy, GFR & Govt. Rules.
  •  Publication Assistant/ Programme Assistant: 
    • The selection process will be an application screening/written test.
    • Part-I will be objective type consisting of 50 marks (30 questions from GS/GK, 5 each from Hindi, English, Computer & Quantitative Aptitude).
    • Part II will be a descriptive exam consisting of publication and printing.
  • Stenographer Grade-II: 02 Post.
    • The selection process will be an application screening/written test.
    • Part-I will be objective type consisting of 50 marks (30 questions from GS/GK, 5 each from Hindi, English, Computer & Quantitative Aptitude).
    • Candidates qualified in written tests will be called for skill tests of stenography and typing (@40 wpm in English & @35 wpm in Hindi).
  • Multi-Tasking Staff: 
    • The selection process will be an application screening/written test.
    • Part-I will be objective type consisting of 60 marks (40 questions from GS/GK, 5 each from Hindi Grammar, English Grammar, Computer & Quantitative Aptitude).
    • Part II will be a descriptive exam consisting of 40 marks (10 marks for each question), Essay (English/Hindi), Letter (English/Hindi), English Comprehensive and Notice/Advertisement (to be answered in English).

Notes:

  • 1 mark for each correct answer; there will be no negative marking.
  • The duration of the exam will be of 2 hours.
  • 40% marks for the UR category & 35% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD will be the qualifying criteria, and candidates have to secure the minimum qualifying marks in both parts individually.
  • Only shortlisted candidates shall be called for a written examination/skill test/interview.
